NWSL Week 5: Can the Breakers get Lucky on Friday the 13th?

It's Friday the 13th in New Jersey, where the Boston Breakers look to notch their first goal of the season against only marginally luckier Sky Blue FC. Weather may play a role here, but another loss will leave Boston with no points through the first quarter of the season.

Elsewhere, Tobin Heath is out due to last week's red card, but Portland isn't worried. Christine Sinclair will step to the touchline in her stead.

Bold Predictions Results from Last Week: I got 2/5 results right, with zero correct scores. Oy.

Boston Breakers at Sky Blue FC

Friday at 7:00PM Eastern

Bold Prediction: Boston 2-1 Sky Blue. Neither team has been attacking well. Boston's defense is the difference here.

Chicago Red Stars at FC Kansas City

Friday at 8:30PM Eastern

Bold Prediction: Red Stars 2-1 FCKC. A Boston win and a loss by FCKC would drop the champs to the bottom of the table. Sounds like a Friday the 13th miracle.

Houston Dash at Washington Spirit

Saturday at 7:00PM Eastern

Bold Prediction: Spirit 3-1 Dash. The Spirit have looked strong, and continue to find a way to win.

Western New York Flash at Orlando Pride

Saturday at 7:30PM Eastern

Bold Prediction: Orlando 3-1 WNY Flash. Hot Orlando (Hotlando?) is too much for the Flash. Josée Bélanger starts to take over the world. Seriously. Stay. Out. Of. Her. Way. She's awesome.

Portland Thorns at Seattle Reign

Saturday at 10:00PM Eastern

Bold Prediction: Reign 2-1 Thorns. I ONLY WANTED TO SEE YOU CRYING IN THE PURPLE REIGN. Tobin-less Thorns can't equalize in an away derby (say "darby" or "D'Arby" as in D'Arby, Terence Trent).
