VIDEOS! Boston 0-1 NC Postgame

As week four of the 2017 NWSL season drew to a close, the Boston Breakers hosted the North Carolina Courage in a battle of the top two teams on the table. The Courage snagged a goal on a set piece after a corner kick was struck into the crossbar before landing in front of the all-time NWSL scoring leader Jess McDonald. Pro tip: don't give Jess McDonald the ball in front of goal if you want to keep her off the scoresheet.

Boston was frustrated early by winds that frequently knocked down balls they tried to play over the Courage back line. Neither team could break through in the run of play, which, considering last season's (very, very bad) results for the Breakers against the former Western New York Flash, the Breakers had to come away feeling confident that they have the ability to hang with the only remaining undefeated team in the league.

After the match, we caught up with both coaches and a few of the players. Rose Lavelle had a close encounter of the tarp kind, but was able to walk away unscathed.

Watch out for falling tarps.

Let's see that again, Rose Lavelle.

Once more, with screaming goat sound effects.
